About our Technology Center

The Technology Center designs and engineers Intero’s high-tech inspection robots, develops the software to operate this equipment and to analyze the inspection data. To support the growth of our Technology Center in the Netherlands, we are looking for an ambitious Project Engineer R&D. You will become part of a close, diverse and multi-disciplinary team that is hands-on, engaged and result driven.

You will work on the technical side of our product development projects including: defining requirements, conceptual design and technical feasibility. You work with the team during low-level design and prepare and execute the integration and system-testing. Soon after completing the prototype, you are involved in taking the system into production and into the field!

Responsibilities

  • Work with all stakeholders involved to clarify objectives & needs
  • Work on systems engineering during the design phases including requirements engineering, functional design and system architecture
  • · Create product breakdown structure
  • Create sub-system specification & detailed product descriptions
  • Create test plans to verify the design and validate the performance
  • Make work breakdown structure and detailed cost & time estimates
  • Manage technical issues, project schedule & reporting
  • Source and order parts, manage timely delivery & quality control
  • Assist with assembly & testing of parts & sub-systems
  • Work on system integration and system validation testing
  • Manage project documentation & oversee technical / design documentation
  • Support the Global team with introduction of new tools & services
  • Develop and improve tools and processes within R&D group

Your profile

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a technical field such as physics, mechatronics or robotics. Electrical / mechanical engineering will be considered as well
  • 5+ years’ experience in a multi-disciplinary product-development environment, e.g. as requirements and/or test engineer.
  • Experience with requirement engineering and product development process
  • Affinity with electronics and (embedded) software is a must
  • Team player who easily connects with specialists of other disciplines
  • Fast learner, enjoys new challenges
  • Practical, hands-on and getting- things-done mentality
  • Excellent communication skills & technical writing skills
  • Good command of the English language, both spoken and written
