Job Overview

You typically start with defining requirements followed by drafting and evaluating various concepts to get to a functional & physical design. You work with engineers of various disciplines to further detail the design and assess technical feasibility. You work with the project manager to prepare the project planning for the low-level design and the various test phases.

During low-level design you have a focus on the various interfaces within the system and work with the team to identify, analyze and solve any technical issues. You are hands-on in verification testing of components and modules.

You oversee that the overall system requirements are validated and guide the integration and system-testing. During integration testing you work with the team to solve issues that are typically cross functional in nature and/or span over various sub-systems. Soon after completing the prototype, you are involved in taking the system into production and into the field!
