Commercial Leader - Brazil

Due to our rapid growth in the Region, we are searching for a Commercial Leader for our Brazilian company, located in Rio de Janeiro, Brasil. The Commercial Leader will have local responsibility for directing strategy development and market prioritization and penetration for refining and petrochemical-targeted service lines. This position will pioneer new markets and develop new service lines applying advanced proprietary NDE technologies. In addition, the Commercial Leader will provide leadership for business development activities and collaborate with various industry business units to optimize service quality and delivery.

Reporting Relationship

This position reports to our America’s Regional Sales Manager, as well as the opportunity to work across the Americas’ Leadership Team to maximize sales growth.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Generate leads and opportunities in the defined strategic focus areas in country.
  • Generate and submit proposals, with support from our regional business, to achieve growth objectives.
  • Lead, manage, and pioneer existing and new market development, including sizing addressable markets and determining commercial viability and competitiveness.
  • Target market priorities to build and sustain market penetration.
  • Generate detailed annual budget, sales targets, and ensure budget accountability within the defined sales territory, including evaluating variance and periodically refreshing budgetary guidance as needed for business growth.
  • Support relationship development, technology validations, selling processes, and contract negotiations with major strategic clients and document in CRM system.
  • Provide industry and geographic leadership and direction to support profitable business development, consistent with the Company's mission and values.
  • Ensure, thorough internal understanding of refining and petrochemical customers' perspectives, critical needs from HSE, regulatory and industry guidelines, and economic decision-making points. Based on this deep understanding, develop compelling value propositions with creative solutions to address customers' toughest challenges.
  • Maintain a firm commitment to our Guiding Principles and Intero’s Code of Conduct compliance policies & procedures.
  • Performance of other duties as assigned for the Intero Brasil legal entity.

  • Orders
  • Cashflow/Days Sales Outstanding (DSO)
  • New client growth
  • Average Purchase Value
  • Timeliness and quality of Inquiry to Order (ITO) handover

What you should bring to the team

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years’ experience working directly with Refinery or Chemical plant customers, preferably related to integrity management.
  • Proven track record of being an experienced negotiator with national oil companies (Petrobras and Transpetro).
  • Demonstrated relationship management skills at senior levels and with external constituents through influential leadership.
  • Excellent leadership, strategy development, and organizational skills and agility.
  • Demonstrated exceptional ability to engage and develop people and customer relationships.
  • General commercial and industry acumen.
  • Excellent Portuguese and English written and verbal skills.
