Rienk de Vries – CEO
Rienk is a hands-on global business executive and strategist. Prior to starting at Intero, he was already on board as Managing Director at A.Hak Industrial Services, leading the company into its new form as Intero Integrity.
For more than 15 years, he worked at Applus RTD in a variety of business leading roles. Guiding the company though a journey of internationalization, professionalization and significant growth. Rienk also worked as Chief Commercial Officer for an Offshore Service provider in Oil & Gas and renewables.
Rienk holds a bachelor degree in oil and gas engineering (cum laude), a master degree in maintenance management and a MBA (cum laude). He is married and has 4 children. In his free time he enjoys sailing, snowboarding and cooking.
Martijn Petit - CFO
Martijn joined Intero in February 2018 following the acquisition by First Reserve as CFO. He is a results driven, hands on professional with a can-do mentality. In his professional life before Intero, Martijn worked with Alvarez & Marsal in the restructuring and the transaction services practice. Prior to that Martijn worked at KPN and KPMG.
Martijn is a chartered accountant (RA), studied in Rotterdam and has a master in business administration from RSM and a master in Sociology from the Erasmus University.
Martijn is married and has three sons. Martijn enjoys his work, family life and his hobbies rowing and skiing.
Winifred Meester – Business Director Industrial and Inspection Services
Winifred has a strong technical back-ground and holds a bachelor degree in oil and gas engineering and has worked in the market for over 20 years. He started his career at A.Hak Industrial Services and moved on to Shell/NAM, later to rejoin the new Intero Integrity Services team.
His fast business experience and strong technical and ‘change management’ background will allow him to build along, further strengthen and develop the company.
Winifred is married, with 2 daughters and 2 sons. He enjoys his work, family and his hobbies: windsurfing, cycling, fitness and running.
Peter Sterzing – Managing Director North America
Peter joined Intero in January 2019, with over 20 years’ experience in the energy industry. He has held roles of increasing leadership and responsibility across engineering, manufacturing, operations, business development, and mergers & acquisitions (M&A). He strongly believes that in everything we do there is an opportunity to improve, and hopes to lead Intero North America to new heights.
Upon graduation from college, Peter entered the United States Marine Corps, serving as a surface to air missile officer, as well as well as an aviation weapons and tactics instructor. He moved to Houston, Texas in 1998, where he began working for General Electric (GE), at its aero derivative turbine generator manufacturing plant. In 2003, Peter transitioned to the recently acquired GE company, PII Pipeline Solutions, where he became the North American Regional Manager in 2004. His responsibilities included pipeline inspection services for over 30,000 kilometers of pipelines each year across the United States, Canada, Mexico, and the rest of Central America. After GE, Peter worked for two different oil and gas midstream companies, before returning to the services business at Intero in 2019.
Peter earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Texas A&M University, and an MBA in Finance and International Business from the University of St. Thomas.
Peter is married, with 4 children, two daughters and two sons, along with two dogs. He enjoys running, scuba diving, and watching Texas A&M football.
Djaffar Hadji – Managing Director Middle East
Djaffar is an experienced Contract, Sales and B&D Manager proficient with highly complex, multi-national and multi-hundred-million dollar projects mainly in pipelines services and inspection. A deep grasp of global business and networking based on an international background having resided a decades in north Africa, in Europe, in the Middle East and half a decade in Asia. He started with A.Hak Industrial Services in 2003, appointed as Area Manager for South East Asia from 2014 to 2019. In 2020 he became Area Manager for France and Africa, to now and very recently appointed to Area Manager Middle East.
Comprehensive experience and understanding of both the sales and marketing, and execution and management cycles, allowing a unique insight. Not only into client needs and expectations but also the EPC Contractor’s goals and objectives, employees requirements and investor/shareholder demands. A firm believer in attention to detail and leading by example. Practical, pragmatic and able to effectively communicate across all aspects and stakeholders.
Djaffar earned a Bachelor degree in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Southwestern Louisiana, USA. He is married, with 2 children, a late son and a daughter.
Shukor Yatim – Managing Director South East Asia
Shukor is a Senior Business and Operations Oil & Gas Professional with an exceptional 20+ years of proven entrepreneurial experience in delivering strategically significant business development and operations solutions with revenue accountability in regional settings across Singapore, Philippines, Malaysia and Indonesia.
Excellent management experience working with companies such as APPLUS Singapore/ APPLUS RTD, Reliability & Integrity Management Philippines (RIM), GL Noble Denton Singapore and International Refinery Services.
Shukor's early career achievements started in his late 20s when he was entrusted by International Refinery Services Pte Ltd (Singapore) to lead the company's first global markets expansion in the Philippines. Under his stewardship as Managing Director of IRS Phils Inc (later known as RIM Phils Inc), the company had seen significant growth in a challenging market.
He holds a Masters degree in Business Administration and believes in lifelong learning for professional and personal growth. His hobbies include golfing, flying, riding motorcycle and full-contact karate.
Bart Wauterickx – CEO The Sniffers (an Intero company)
Bart is a result-driven leader with strong international experience. He joined The Sniffers as CEO in 2015 and led the company through exciting times.
Under his leadership, The Sniffers changed ownership twice and became part of the Intero Integrity group at the end of 2019.
Building on his solid business, commercial and operational experience, he led The Sniffers to an internationally well-recognized leader in Emission Reduction Activities and Pipeline Integrity Services.
Before joining The Sniffers, Bart was Vice President Operations at Atlas Copco Compressors and Operations Director EMEA at Brady Corporation, industrial identification. He holds a Master in Mechanical Engineering from University of Leuven Belgium and a Bachelor of Business Administration from University of Louvain La Neuve Belgium.
Bart is married to Kristien and has 3 children. in his spare time he plays badminton, enjoys sailing and dining.
Paul Laursen - Technical Director
Paul Laursen is a hands-on leader who has been at the cutting edge of MFL technology and iLi for the last 30 years. Prior to joining forces with Intero he was the founder and CEO of InvoDane and Pipetel, a market leader in Robotic iLi for hard to inspect pipelines.
Throughout his career Paul has served in a technical leadership role with the world’s leading providers of pipeline inspection and integrity services to the oil and gas industry.
Paul has a BSc in Mechanical Engineering from Sonderborg Teknikum in Denmark and a MSc in physics from Queen’s University in Canada. He has authored and co-authored several papers, mainly in MFL Inspection tools, and holds several innovative patents.
He is married with two children. Outside of work, you can catch him in the vegetable garden or in his workshop where he likes to practice his blacksmith and woodworking skills. He also enjoys biking and skiing.
Niek Bruijnesteijn – Service Line manager Inspection Services
Niek thrives from challenges to provide solutions in the field of asset-integrity within the oil & gas industry. He has spent many years in operations, starting right after completing his technical education, joining A.Hak Industrial Services back in 2002.
In his business directors’ role, Niek is a strategic and hand-on director, shaping the technical, commercial and operational portfolio of the inspection services and integrity management of pipelines, furnaces & storage tanks. Prior to that at A.Hak he played a significant role in defining the inspection services to date and continues to push the envelope of operational and technical excellence.
Niek is married, has 2 daughters and a son. He enjoys spending time with his family and driving fast cars.
